Barcelona-Specific Priority Items
These three things are the most common sources of deposit deductions in Barcelona:
1. Bathroom limescale. Barcelona's hard water leaves deposits that look like negligence to landlords. If your shower screen is foggy, your taps are white, or your toilet bowl has a ring — these must be professionally descaled, not just wiped.
2. Oven condition. An oven that hasn't been regularly cleaned and has years of baked-on grease is expensive to restore. This is one of the most common deductions in Barcelona end-of-tenancy inspections.
3. Walls. Small marks from normal use are generally accepted as wear and tear. Visible scuffs, stains, or holes from fixtures are not. A small tube of filler and matching paint from a hardware store solves most issues for under 15€.
Casa Fresca Barcelona provides professional end-of-tenancy cleaning across all Barcelona neighborhoods. We provide a receipt — useful evidence if a deposit dispute arises.
